The Challenge

It’s really quite simple.

Just get outside for at least 30 minutes a day.

For 30 days in a row.

Why This Challenge:

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what outdoors challenge you do, as long as you find the best way to motivate you to get outdoors! A few things that are unique about the 30 More Outdoors challenge:

  1. Attainable Goals
Spending 30 minutes outside for 30 days in a row is meant to motivate even the busiest of families or individuals to prioritize time outside. The challenging part is getting outside every. day. For 30 days in a row. Rain, shine, snow, you name it. The best way to discover the beauty of the outdoors, in all of it’s moods, is to force yourself to discover it firsthand.
  2. Small Changes, Lasting Habits
While research varies on the actual number of days it takes to form a habit, one thing is clear. The “small changes” approach is one of the best ways to make a lasting difference in your daily behaviors. If you are looking to dip your toes in spending more time outside, or really want outdoor time to become an automatic part of your daily routine, this is a great way to get started, and keep it up!
  3. An inclusive community
And last, everyone is welcome to participate in this challenge and our community. Regardless of your background, religion, gender identity, culture, race, ability level, etc…. We also want to encourage adults to give this a try as well! Humans, whether young or wise, could all be more at peace when they build their connection with nature. I hope you choose to join us!
